Gomez – Yesterday evening at his late residence, Sangre Grande, Joseph Gomez, late of Miller’s Stores, Arima. Funeral takes place at 4 p.m. to-day from Mr. Albert Mendes residence, Victoria Square. Friends are asked to accept this intimation.

I was extremely fortunate today to locate the grave of Joseph & Christina Gomez. It took about 2 hours, many graves did not have grave stones or plaques and I was concerned after about 1 1/2 hours of searching Lapeyrouse that I would not find the grave. Eventually I spotted the name Christina Gomez.The info you sent helped a lot as the cemetery is large with hundreds of unmarked graves and I was worried that it may take several visits to locate the grave. Both Joseph and Christina are buried in the same plot.
To locate the grave the following are the directions:
Enter Lapeyrouse on the Philip Street entrance
Make an immediate right towards New Street
Then make a left on to 18th Street
Walk down 18th Street and the grave will be on the right side of the street.
