Alfred James Sheppard died at 117 Edward St., Port of Spain at 7.20 p.m. of Bronchitis on 19th? January 1910. Buried in Private All(otment) Lapeyrouse Cemetery Lot 12 x 10 feet Price $40.00 paid 21.1.10(*).

My mother told me that my older sister, born and died in 1946, was buried in the Sheppard burial plot at Paradise Cemetery, San Fernando. She said that when the baby died, Elsie Mabel told my father Andrew and Uncle John that there was a burial place owned by the Sheppard family where a young family member had been buried years ago. It is, most likely, this same allotment where the young Arthur and Albert were buried, side by side.
