I came across an entry on Rootsweb WorldConnect for Joseph Arthur Franzen. Joseph Arthur Franzen and Marguerite Elise Louise Dujardin are my great grandparents. My grandmother is Marthe Marie Elise Franzen. She was an only child from this marriage. She lived with her aunt and uncle when Joseph remarried. She was married to Georges Arthur VanClef. Do you know how Marguerite died? How are you related to the Franzen family? Any information you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Georges and Marthe were married in Brussels and then came to the US. Georges was a merchant marine and earned his captain's license. He became a naturalized citizen of the US before he married my grandmother. Marthe became a naturalized citizen only after she moved here.

Joseph Arthur Franzen’s brother Alfred married Jeanne VanClef. Jeanne’s brother Georges married Joseph Arthur’s daughter Marthe Franzen.
