William Funcke, 79, Grove Court SE, a retired Rock Island Railroad Employee, died at his home at 4.50 a.m. Friday, following a short illness. Born February 21 1870 at Leewarden, Holland, he came to Cedar Rapids in 1893. He retired many years ago after working for the Rock Island for 29 years. He was a member of St. Matthew's church and the Holy Name society, p.1009 in my binder.
